Women can make a difference by holding elected offices in government, unions, community organizations, school boards, band councils or other forms of indigenous governance.

In this interactive workshop, participants will explore ways of building on their own skills and drawing on their own experience. They will learn what it takes to participate in the political sphere in their union and in broader politics!

This workshop has been designed to help women identify their personal inspiration and envision themselves making a difference in the political sphere. Whether you are considering running for elected office, never considered it before, might want to support a woman running for office or are simply curious about women in elected office, this workshop is for you!

WHO IS THIS FOR – Diverse groups of women, would-be candidates and supporters, unionized workers, community leaders, activists and all interested women are welcome!

Lunch provided. Email: durhamlc@durhamlabour.ca if you have any dietary restrictions.
